what turbo should i go with?
i have a 87 t2 and trying to figure out what turbo i should go with. i guess the big question is how much hp with 720's i want around 300 to 350 at the wheels but i dont think those injectors will do it.

safc 2

it sounds like you have a craptastic ebay manifold and wastegate. so just get an ebay turbo too: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUPER...Q5fAccessories
and you will need more injector than 720/720. try 720/1000 with at least an Rtek 1.8 . then cross your fingers that it will run safely

well arghx all i have is money for ebay stuff right now. im 22 years old and own my own house and a brand new fusion. money is tight. i have never had problems with the ebay stuff b4. i just want to get the car running good. dont need a **** load of horsepower. and the waste gate spring is 8 lbs.im gonna stay at low boost till i can get enough money to make everything legit. i am looking for bigger injectors right now. use the 720s as primary and find some 1000cc for secondaries. would that work with 8lbs of boost?

i would be surprised if that wastegate can really keep boost down to 8psi, but I suppose it's possible.
you could use rtek 1.8 with 720/1000 but be careful about leaning it out. the more you lean it out the more it will advance the timing, because you are tricking the ECU into thinking you are under less load.
you really should just get the 2.1 . it's not really much more expensive.

Boost controller can only raise boost, not lower it.
If money is tight, seriously seriously consider the BNR. It will easily meet your horsepower goals and will cost a lot less, AND won't be a crapshoot like Ebay.

one guy told me theres an oldschool garret turbo you can get thats great.. non ball bearing, since rotarys run hot, a non bb turbo works great, said it puts down real numbers, and is cheap, just look it up in a garret catalog cuz it has no name but go by specs or something.. ill have to message him he said he was gonna give me the info.
