What Are Stock TII 1/4 Mile and 0-60 Times?
quick question... stock tII runs about what- 1/4 and 0-60 times? just interested what kinda numbers.

I don't know why people ask these kinds of questions...
Those "magazine" times are usually too damn quick and almost impossible to duplicate.
Most people won't even come close to getting times like that.
Then, the cars are so damn old...how you gone find a "stock" one?
So you're going to brag about how fast your car did in some magazine test?
Why not take your car down to the track and find out yourself?

Screw bragging rights. The only bragging rights anyone can claim, are the ones the post for themselves. Personally, I had no idea, but do find it interesting to see where the bar was 20 years ago.

With my stock 87 GXL with a shitty clutch on a hot day with 80k I ran 17.0's. Only thing the car had done to it was a new air filter, spark plug wires, and the BBS rims. Other than that it was bone stock. With the stuff it has now, I'm sure I could do low 16's/high 15's.

Almost anything from a standing start has too many variables...
Anyone who has done any drag racing would understand that.
Are you going to be one of those punks who just sits at the corner gas station parking lot bragging about how fast the car is supposed to be...according to a magazine?
I bet 99% of you can't even get within half a second of the magazine time.
The stock non-turbo FC would supposed slip just under 17-seconds in the 1/4-mile.
I've seen non-turbo FC's with full exhausts barely run 16.9's at the local drag strip.
The turbo FC is supposed to do low 15's, according to the magazines.
So it's slower than an FD, but faster than a Honda Accord...according to the magazines.
Hell, even a VTEC Integra is supposed to be faster...according to the magazines.
Show me a STOCK FC that can reproduce those numbers in the magazines, and I'll eat my words...

Really? Thats kinda sad, then. My car has a bone stock motor that sat in a junkyard for almost 2 years and has failing coolant and oil seals and pretty low compression. The only real power mods are a full exhaust and a lightened flywheel. My last time to the track I ran a 15.9 @88 with a really bogged launch.

Funny, in my experience its been the other way around...Its not hard to launch a 15 second car and shift fast...look at the 3000GT/Stealth platform (since I've owned one) and notice how the NA's run low 15s and high 14s vs. the tested 15.6, or how VR4s bust low 13s vs. the rated 14.0s...same with FD owners running mid 13s vs. the rated 14.0s...
As far as being on topic when I was obsessed with drag racing I'd look up different cars on dragtimes.com and see real 1/4 times and mods

drag racing is hard. 60 foot times make a huge difference. i barely broke into the 12's my first time out and a pro driver probably could've hit low 12's or high 11's in my car.

Also, those times in the magazines are optimal conditions i.e. perfect weather, big downhill angle on the track, perfect sealevel, etc. I know a lot of cars that stock won't run close to their magazine cars even when they are tuned up and running terrific.

well not to burst anyones *****, i ran a 14.4 @ 97 mph with a 2.2 60 on a completely stock jspec, yes ted is right about all the variables, i have had tons of track time, i have a time slip to prove it if any doubters. but ya, it all depends on track prep, temp, humidity, wind, ect. everything has its own role. the track i race at is at about 2000ft above sea level, with a slight tail wind, i think. ha. but yes everything plays roles. as for your ?. if yours is stock, run it, run it run it, dont ask what others stock runs are. make your own, and the more you run, the faster you become.

for the record, ive never taken a 15 second car to a drag strip. also, drag racing in any car, even a 19 second one, is a skill. i guarantee you could take any car to the strip, run it, then let a professional run it and they will absolutely embarass you.
