What size and style exhaust are you running on your na ?
I am just wondering what kind of exhaust setups people are running on here on their na's
I'm running a Racing Beat header (dual 2" primaries to 2.5" collector) , to a 2.5 " straight pipe ( no cat ), to a Borla catback (2.5" before y pipe , dual 2" after , with 2 1/4" or 2.5 " tips, im not sure on the tips size)
I think this exhaust sounds pretty sweet, its not too loud at low throttle/low rpms but when you open it up it gives you all that rotary power sound.

i'm running an old school racing beat header (which eliminates the main cat) to the stock y-pipe and mufflers with the 2.5 inch tips. it sounds really unique when it is idling at 750rpm...like a hollow burble. when you open it up it just gets really annoyingly loud, but i love it!

Information Regurgitator
I have the Racing Beat Header and pre-silencer with the old HKS 50mm catback that Mazdatrix used to sell. I like it and it sounds pretty good but I'd like to switch to the RB catback one day.Really only got the HKS because a friend was selling it and I got a good deal on it otherwise I would have held out for the RB.

How about suggestions for something that will add power but stay quiet? I'd love a little more power, but don't feel the need to announce it to the world as I drive by or want to hear it over the radio...

Thanks for the info Sgt... always hard to know what is loud and what isn't when you can't try them all out. I wish manufacturer's posted decibel levels or difference from stock parts!

Id say the borla is pretty much conservative like the racing beat and only gets loud after 3k rpms but it sounds really good, and not like a weed wacker on steroids.
I got my catback on ebay new for $300 which is cheap and the headers for $260 and straight pipe for $50 , totalling about $600 for the full setup

right now i have a custom 2.5 catback.. but i have sum racing beat headers that i am going to put on this week that replace the cat, so ima just put it on and connect the whole thing.. my car is gonna sound pretty good because right now it has a kind of deep tone so with the straight pipe so it should sound great on open throttle.. i think the best thing to do would be go to your local muffler place or w.e and just get a custom exhaust, its alot cheaper and its the same thing.. exhaust is just a pipe
