what size steel for engine stand adapter

planning on making my own, pretty much just going to copy pineapples design.

just want to know if anyone can tell me what thickness steel to use

for reference, this is what I want to fab up

my one i had made is 6mm from memory? bigger the better it is holding your engine after all. dont want it to end up on the ground

mine was just tigged together separate peices.might be 8mm.id go check but cant really walk.had surgery couple days ago.lol
