17s baby. It lifts the car quite a bit but thats why I spent $400 on Ground Control and $140 for front lowering strut tops!

On my old FC, 17X8 Front 17X9 Rear OZ racing.
Now with my FD 17X8 Front 17X9 Rear SSR Integral GT-1's with 275/40 Nitto 555R's to get the most out of the rear wheels.

I don't mean to be an *******, but hey thats what I am:

"The MARIAH Mode Five Front fenders were initially designed for our SCCA E-Production race cars, but we found they also looked great on street RX-7s as well. These slightly wider front fenders allow us to run equal width rims front and rear, without the rim width being determined by the narrower front fenders."

I think 245's would kick ***. Standard or more common wheels are 7" wide. I think you should go 8", 7.5" minimum. Since these sizes aren't standard/popular/common, I think they are a bit pricey.
If it was in the budget, I'd do exactly what your thinking, MM5 fenders, 17X8s with 245/40s.

You like apples?

How bout them apples.

17" is a nice size for the FC's.&nbsp 18's are too big and require too thin a tire (profile) on the street - you risk rim damage from bad roads.&nbsp 17" tires have been dropping in price, so it doesn't cost that much to step up from 15" or 16".

i'm plannin on puttin 18's on mine, its just i dont know how fat of a wheel i can fit on the back, i need fat 18's for 2 reasons

reason #1 - to lower the overall final gear ratio
reason #2 - i'm gonna need as much rubber contact as possible

look at my sig, you'll see why, i have my reasons why i'm doing it

I have 16s not by choice. I would love some 17s so they are a bit more tucked.

I think 18" rims or higher are only suitable for cars that are actually going to benefit from them on the track. Otherwise, I like 17" or 16" rims better, and they definitely look better than 18" on an FC in my opinion.

Sorry about this part not being on topic, but I have messaged a few people and nobody has responded. WHERE ARE THE ARCHIVES? They say to check the archives, but have no links or information on where they are located. Someone please point me to them.

Thanks,
Jeremy
