I've got 17" on mine. Makes for a stiffer ride but they look so damn good.

I got a good deal on some 16x8 wheels. The roads around here can suck in places so I'm happy with keeping a decent amount of sidewall.

i think 16x8's are the perfect size. not only do they look great and let you sit your car almost on the ground, but they are the most functional in my opinion...best of both worlds. anything larger is just show.

Can I get an AMEN!!! Anything larger will just empty your wallet quicker. Plus your brakes (assuming they are still stock diameter) will look pathetically small by comparison. Not as bad as a Civic with a set of 18" wheels showing off a set of drum brakes in the rear, but you get the point. There are a lot of good performance tires in the 225/50R16 size and they are relatively inexpensive.

I'd say size all depends on weight. I have some 17's that were better than my 16's but I couln't afford them for long.

16,8's are great, but not much for aesthetics. I love 17,8 and 17,9 staggered fitment. That's why we love the price of the RP01's so much, but they're no more to be found.

I got some good options made by STERN a japanese wheel company. they are being blown out right now. I'll look into it.

Rishie

Make sure you get a low offset if you go anything below an 8" width, like a +35 to a +30.

Did you have to use spacers for the 9.5 in the rear? I would like to have that in the rear but don't want to use spacers.

well, my setup is Enkei RP01 17x8 and 17x9 with Nitto NT555 Extreme 225/40ZR/17 and 255/40ZR/17. I've already got 2 of them in, the other two coming in this afternoon.

Hey fc3s_gtr:

Just wondering but shouldn't you have a FMIC with your setup? I am not a turbo guy(yet) and was just wondering. Thanks.

No spacers were needed. You can see the rear wheel doesn't look very deep for a 9.5 due to the offset. Never had any rubbing or ride complaints using Toyo T-1plus 215/45's front or the 245/40's rear. Traction was an issue... maybe 255/40's next time.
WORKS Equips, now that's old-school!Yeah, so is my memory, I can't remember what the dang offsets were???

Thanks Erik... just older ones... somewhere? I'm just starting to get this digital camera stuff down, it's posting pictures that I'm not. There was an old article of it in SCC Magazine, back in Sept. '96 I believe...

Thanks, like RETed said, "now that's old-school! I believe I paid little over 2k just for the wheels with shipping from Japan back in 1996. Even before I had my Turbo II, they were considered the wheel of all wheels in Japan. I had to have 'em...even though I couldn't afford tires, I had bragging rights, unfortunately back then nobody really cared. They are still very expensive, and considered a timeless classic, and now are available up to 20"inches! Being a 3-piece modular wheel it allowed for the perfect fit.
