If you use a 1 1/4 I believe it has to be a 12pt socket to get it to fit.

You do not need to remove the axle nut to take off the rotors..if thats what youre trying to do. On the rotors you will see a small threaded hole. Find a decently long bolt (~6") and thread it into that hole. It will push the rotor away from the hub.
