What should I do with this sensor?

I removed my power steering pump this morning, and I unscrewed the sensor from the bottom of it. I did the ATF treatment at the same time, so I won't be driving my car until tomorrow, but I'm wondering if the ECU will be beeping at me the next time I drive it.

Can I just cut the sensor wire and ground it or what? Right now the sensor is attached to the bracket with a zip tie. What should I do with it? Thanks.

I still haven't started my car, but when I locked it a few minutes ago, the normal alarm beep sounded different. How could my power steering pump have possibly affected that? I'm confused. Hopefully I will not have a strange beep now. Since there's only one wire going to that sensor, it seems to me that I could cut it and ground it, and that would fool the ECU into thinking everything's fine? Thanks.

No...

...You will not get an error of any sort from disconnecting the PS pump or wires...

I don't care if I get an error, as long as it doesn't beep at me. Is there anything I can do with the sensor? Thanks.

I know a bunch of you guys have probably removed your power steering. What did you do with the sensor on the pump?

SORRY TO ANSEWER A QUESTION WITH A QUESTION BUT I WAS GOING TO TAKE MY PUMP OFF TOMMAROW AND NEEDED TO NOW IF YOU ALSO GOT RID OF YOUR COLORFUL RELAY THINGS WITH THE METAL TUBES RIGHT NEXT TO IT. WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE THREE HOSES COMING OFF THE PUMP. JUST LET IT DRAIN AND CUT. ANY HELP WOULD BE USEFULL. THNX.

There should be only 2 hoses coming from the pump. I disconnected them from the pump and hooked them together. I found out that I do not need to worry about the sensor, just unplug it down near the wiring harness. Don't mess with all those colorful things with tubes. They control your auxillary intake ports and VDI if you have it, among other things.

at a guess i'd say most who have removed the power steering had removed the factory ECU etc either before hand or at the same time, so it has never been a problem.
