What is this sensor?

In noticed a broken sensor as I was putting my engine in today. It is on the upper manifold, on the driver's side, and has 2 prongs on it, coming out of the sensor which is bolted into the manifold. Any idea what it is? I am a bit worried that it needs to be replaced now,ut what kind of sensor is it??!?!?!?!?!?

Driver's side of the upper intake manifold, not the front of the throttle body

Basically, it looks like a electrical plug, pointing out of the upper manifold.

According to Haynes's it is part of the hot start assist system. Can anyone tell me where to get, or if I "need" this sensor?!?!?!?!

Rico, you really didn't need to start a whole new thread about your air temp sensor, you could have just asked in this one. It gets confusing!

And yes you need it. Replace it.
