What next? (For my car that is)

Hey guys, here is my master plan

I recently got an 87' gxl and all the upgrades are in my signature.

Now I ask, what next, I am looking to do a steam clean of the car, get a nice new coat of rust protection under the car and in the tire wells.

But after all that "maintenance" stuff more what should I add on next. I am new to the rotary scene so could use a bit of advise. I am thinking maybe a new radiator w/ electric fan or something.

P.S. I aint lookin for cosmetic upgrades, purely performance.

Thanks!

Agreed, since you have the racing beat exhaust with no cats, just get rid of all the emissions crap to make things simpler. No ACV, airpump, EGR, rats nest, whatever else you decide to take out.

Ignition upgrade is a good idea, MSD 6a is good I hear, other ideas might be porting the intake manifolds (free if you have the tools), lightweight flywheel, s-afc with some dyno tuning or using a wideband 02 with a wideband a/f gauge or data logger (whatever you can get ahold of or want to buy), etc. Lots of things you can do, just gotta decide what you really want out of your car.

Clutch and flywheel eh? Yeah I will start ripping out the emission stuff,

Please give more input on what I can do! Really appreciate the help!

Question: How will I get around air care once I rip out all my emission stuff?

Air care? As in non-toxic fumes going into the environment? Well once you no longer have cats the rest of the emissions equipment is useless so you might as well rip it out.

Just take all that crap out and cap all the vac lines (remember this or you'll have vac leaks).

Oh hehe i guess I should explain myself, I live in BC and we have this thing that is a part of our Insurance called Air Care, and our cars get tested for how much pollution they spit out. And if they fail you don't drive basically is what it is dumbed down too hehe

Well you're going to fail without your precats and main cat... so taking out the rest of the emissions equp isn't going to make a difference. Either way you'll fail, just fyi.
