Better paint (white), more torque, better seat belts (s5), Honestly though if we could change this stuff why would we want our 7's, half the fun is working on them and fixing them up, and not to mention they are fun as hell to drive on back roads. Right?

Eats, Sleeps, Dreams Rotary
Decent steering adjustment
Legroom
Headroom
Plastic trim that doesn't snap off every time you touch it (A/C vents)
Hatch latches you don't have to fiddle with to make it open
Door locks that don't require you to hold the handle open to lock them (that might just be me...)
A less ridiculous rear suspension design (just look at that thing, FFS)]
A sunroof that doesn't take 4 different actions to open (okay, two, but I still have to hold the button all the way)
Power windows with one-touch-down (ok, I don't have power windows, and you can add the one-touch down with Icemark's parts...)
Decent power-steering control (engine RPM-based is CRAP, although the S5 turbo still had the good stuff...)
Room for massively wide tires
Torque?

And the FC is a monocoque chassis......
this thread gets two big thumbs down!
our chassis are old, i meant as in improved technology. i.e. FD/SE3P
chassis rigidity , and the little improvements that mazda has made over the years.
Taking something newer into something older isn't bad is it?

Driver's side vanity mirror on visor (yeah, I do my make-up in the car, so what?) CUPHOLDERS!!! (so I have somewhere to put my coffee while doing my make-up)
Dent resistant side panels, because it doesn't matter how carefully you park, some jerk is gonna ding your door.
ABS brakes, airbags, GPS...just because all the new cars have them, not because I've ever needed them.
Oh, one more...I had a 1981 626 before my RX-7 and it had headlight washers! That was cool!

For real, I'd take aluminum, but have you ever tried to take a dent out of stainless steel? That's why used, good condition DeLoreans are so expensive!

It'd be nice to take the thing to the parts store and have them pull codes to tell me exactly what's wrong instead of these old vacuum tube era vehicle computers that will let you run 25% rich without ever telling you "Hey, you think your o2 sensor might be bad?" Or misfire or stumble without ever throwing a code.

The stainless is no big deal to fix if it gets dented. Far easier then an equivelant steel/painted car.
I have an aluminum car and it's a bloody nightmare keeping the dents under control.

DSG-style transmission would be badass, to expand/clarify the earlier paddle-shifter idea.
Cupholders would be nice, they are handy when getting drive-thru food. I don't eat in my car.

And those luggage tie down straps are useless. I've had very little luck anything in one place for long. I want those nice hinged metal "U" brakets so I can tie down anything that isn't briefcase size!
