Question No Trailing Spark / No Tach

I start up and all runs fine for about 15 seconds. Then my tach goes haywire, finally quits and then no spark on trailing plugs and car runs crappy. Shut engine off and restart. Same thing happens. What is this all about?? Changed coil pak and cas, still does it.

The no tach is a result of the trailing coil, not functioning. So either the coils are bad or the computer is going into limp mode from a bad ground. Check all the factory ground points.

Check both the primary factory ground and the smaller one near the passenger side firewall.

Wellll, that didn't do it. Must be something else. We're doing to change the instrument cluster and drivers side engine wiring next and see what that does.

It's not goign to be the insturment cluster.. if it is some device like that, it'll be the ECU.. The instrument cluster won't affect things like that one way or the next. . What year/trim is the car?

Ok, we seem to have found the problem. The engine wiring harness on the drivers side appears to have caused the problem. Not sure what yet, I'll have to take it apart and see what is wrong. Thanks for the help.
