what is with my oil??????
today i but a quart of oil in my car, i noticed that i have some goo on the top of the oil fill cap and a bit going down the oil fill tube. what is this stuff???? and should i be worried about my engine?

Possible residual from the EGR system. The crankcase is pressurized, and will accumulate oil in the fill tube. Can you describe the sludge?

it is jsut like this tan goo, i checked my dip stick and the oil in it looks clean.

never fear, I was told its "condensation" from mazda
I "had" an RX-8 that did that pretty bad and my RX-7 also does that. but I live in a higher humidity climate.

yeah I have the exact same stuff in my oil...haven't noticed a problem from it

I've yet to see an rx-7 that doesn't have that.

my rx7 doesnt do that, normally that indicates coolant in the oil.
