Question What Is the most effective way to clean the oil injectors?

With all this talk on to "premix or not" I am following the not route. It Is not that I am a non believer Its just that Mazda came out with the OM, than that Is what I am going to use.

Anyway, my FC 14yrs old I am taking the Inititative to replace the Oil Injector Lines, they are quite brown probably from previous owner b'c I change my oil religiously, replacing my OMP O-Ring and want to clean my Oil Injectors.

So I ask, what would be the most effective way to clean these Injectors so I don't have to worry about my fresh motor?

I should also mention that my Oil Injectors will be removed from their location for cleaning.

oil injectors? Not sure if it is necessary to clean those. If you do the STP engine flush and the ATF tricks, the injectors can be cleaned while the engine is running.
The reason is because the STP engine flush circulates around the engine for cleaning, so it should reach that place and clean it.

Good engine dereaser, and go ahead and order yourself some opm lines. they become brittle quick and more than likely break.

I posted that thread late last night. Just re read It and I am convinced I sounded like a retart. Sorry for the lack of clarity!

Should I just take them out, soak them In say Castrol Super Clean than attach a vacuum hose to It and blow all the oil out?

I think that should be sufficient. What do you think?

Throwing MMO in with an oil change oughta help with keeping them clean later on, too.

When I use it, either in the gas tank or an oil change, I dump the whole container in (354mL.)

Throw the originals away and replace them with new ones - seriously.&nbsp The Mazda FSM has a test for them - it's a one-way valve that you can test by blowing and sucking on the "tops".&nbsp I'd bet that all four will fail this simple test - you're only supposed to be able to blow into them.

Yes I read that In my FSM. However, If that Is the case, than a simple cleaning should restore them to factory specs.

Who knows how the conscious the previous owner was on their oil changes. I know I am. Every 3000k's....everytime.

With that considered, with the addition of the replacement of the OMP O-Ring, the 4 plastic hoses and complete clean up of the OMP (should have mentioned that earlier) I am guranteed to have this system to work at It's maximum output.

I think I am going to soak them In Castrol Super Clean, rinse them out, attach a vacuum hose to the end of It and blow like I never blowed before. Done.

Both.

But no treatment can ever beat yanking the parts and hitting them yourself. MMO makes for an effective maintenance tool, but nothing will do more for your car than a can of elbow grease.
