what kind of turbo lag with a FMIC

i was just wondering how much turbo lag you people with FMIC's are getting. is it much differnece from stock?

most people hardly notice a difference but it all depends on the kit, intercooler, bends and piping diameter really.

The project car I did for babyball is probably the most insane setup on here for turbo lag to happen and that car is receiving full boost and 2.5k in 2nd gear and around close to 4k in first.

turbo lag is usually something you notice on foot off--->foot on throttle applications.

karack, you mean like autocrossing? I was thinking of doing a fmic on my car after i finish my engine, i autocross alot, maybe a v-mount would be better although much more $$$, right?

yes but like i said most people do not feel any extra lag but you are also losing some of the restriction by removing the smaller IC and using a larger one so more than likely you won't even notice a difference.

I think he's actually wanting to ask about pressure drop which there is none from what I have read.. I dont notice any lag either with my greddy fmic.

Are you using the stock turbo?
It's kinda overkill for the stock turbo.
Upgrade turbos with bigger compressor sections or full turbo upgrades would do better with FMIC's.
