What Kind Of Muffler For My S4.5
ok, before you guys start to flame. i have searched and found people reccomend alot of gt apex shiney cromey mufflers. i personally do not like to run shiney mufflers and big tips. im just wondering what is a good muffler to run for a single system that is not all chromey. im always partial to turbo style mufflers but heard i might blow them out because they are a three pass design and might melt the inside because of the exhaust heat. thanks!

I don't think I've seen a single system for the FC that doesn't have a large muffler and equally large tips
I recommend Racing Beat. Great quality, great sound, just a little more throaty than stock.

Racing Beat does sell mufflers. I'm trying to decide on whether I want to make my own single with an RB muffler, or buy their catback and make the rest. Or to just buy the system.
I want to know is there a large difference between having the RB system's presilencer in the car and not having it?

Honestly, I went to my local speed shop and looked through their "rice mufflers" catalog. I found a set that I liked made by a local company called Varient. They are straight through, dual outlet with up turned tips. Used to be unique until every ricer Honda owner got them. Anyway, they have held up fine to the heat, and sound great. I get many comments that my car is the best sounding RX-7 that people have ever heard. Not a hint of chainsaw sound. Now, these mufflers might not be your style, but the point is that you can probably do the exact thing I did to find some you like. Worst case, you can cut the tips off.
