Question What the hell just happened?

I was driving along one day, and when I layed on the throttle, the 3800RPM hesitation came back with a vengeance. This time, it felt much worse than it used to, and even worse, when I pressed on into higher RPMs, I got tons of jerks from 5-7k. I don't know why it did this. I have been running the same AFC settings for the past month without incident or any hiccups. I got some fresh and a few extra grounds. I changed my plugs and plug wires. The car was driving just perfectly. But now all of a sudden, these horrible hesitations come back. I can run the car so that the power doesn't hiccup, but I had to almost completely reverse my SAFC settings to get it to run right, but that means the car is running pig rich, especially at high rpms. Does anyone know how this could have happened? Could I have a fouled plug? Any ideas as to what this could be would be great.

Strange...

Could running injector cleaner possibly do anything? Also, if my car was running lean at those points in the powerband, woulnd't my motor most likely blow?
