what happened to my clutch..pics

Finally decided to pull the transmission to switch in a higher performance clutch and found this. So here are the questions

1. what caused the discoloration and the couple of small grooves.
2.is the flywheel reusable, condition is identical to the pressure plate.
3.are the clutch components and flywheel stock
4. how much play can the transmission input shaft have.

FYI the clutch would slip during wot, I also found a very small leak in the hydraulic line next to the slave cylinder. S5 turbo, BNR turbo, Front mount, large street port. Right picture is the new items.

1. the discoloration is from the heat that the clutch built while slipping...
2. the flywheel is reusable, just take it off and have it resurfaced by a machine shop..
3. im no expert but all of the components look stock or stock replacements...
4. someone else would have to chime in here...

+1 to what AE Racer said. The discoloration is from heat and slipping. could be from too much horsepower or bad driving. from your mods list, probably the former

Flywheel is definitely reusable, just get it resurfaced. If you're going to upgrade the clutch, i'd upgrade the flywheel so you might as well just get a new one.

these are pics of my stock clutch, they look the same as yours except for the color, so I'd say thats a stock clutch.

and lastly, I dont think your input shaft is supposed to have any play at all, at least mine didnt...
