what happened?
I was startin my TII when suddenly white smoke starts coming out of the engine.I turn it off and pop the hood only to find out it burnt some wires. The problem is I dont know what it burnt or why it burnt it.It looked to be a red wire running from the battery to somewhere over in the right corner of the engine bay.Went to start the car and it turns over but wont start. It dosent smoke but now refuses to start.I was wondering if this was possibly a wire for the fuel pump?any ideas?
thanks
thanks

That wire is from a Micky Mouse car stereo install...
That wire would be for aftermarket amplifiers.
It was not fused properly.
Your battery is probably dead- and luckly not blown up because the wire melted.
It may have also melted through other wires that run with it through the firewall would also prevent the car from starting.

beeping is from the power steering computer telling you there is an error.
The FAQ for FC sticky thread at the top of this section lists the beeps and what they mean
