What a GT-X?

ok, i started playing an old school game called auto modellista for the ps2 and of course my car is a FC. when watching a replay of one of the races that i finished, i noticed on the side of the car it had GT-X. in japan did they call them GT-X instead of TurboII? Just wondering.

Well..all FCs in Japan were turbo, but the names were just different trim levels, options, etc. GT-R, GT-X, Infini...

Check out this link--I was curious about that too and found this when I searched GOOGLE.

http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/ma...a_rx-7/1989_4/

I didn't find any for anything other than JDM SeriesV.
I don't think that it is 100% accurate but will give you an idea.
There is more information out there. Search Google.

You can do an inline comparison with that tool. Enjoy.

Actually the GT-R/GT-X is due to luxury levels. Like they said above it's like GTU versus GXL.

so, the GT-R and the GT-X were available as s4 and s5, or did the seperator between the two develop in the s5?

Also, the GTU is the GT-R and the GT-X is the GXL!? WTF? Now I'm confused. Could we explain this whole thing over again, I don't think I got it all these times we reviewed it.

no the difference between a GT-R and GT-X is the same as the difference between a GTU and GXL here int the states, the cars are in no way equivelent

There should be an option that if more than 5 people deem a post stupid and/or redundant, they can vote and have it removed instead of waiting for a mod.

No "GT" or "GT-S" model from Japan.
Models are:
GT-Limited
GT-R
GT-X
Cabriolet
Infini (I, II, III, IV)
