Check out this SA for sale
Saw this on another site and had to share. Not far from my house. The seller owns
Rotorsports in Kanapolis, NC.
This 1983 Mazda RX-7 Savannah GT-X is an all original, one owner car and is the 12A fuel injected turbo model that Mazda only offered in Japan for 3 model years. The Savannah GT-X with a factory installed fuel injected 12A turbo engine is perhaps the rarest of all model RX7's

Not to be nitpicky over a very nice and rare car, but this is far from "all-original."
Body Kit (nice, but still not original), repainted, swapped wheels with no center caps, clamp-on replacement battery connectors, non-stock exhaust outlet...
You'd think somebody would have vacuumed out the grass clippings and mud before taking pix to advertise a $16,000 collectible car.

I'd love to have this car, but for $16,000 it would need to be in original condition and well taken care of. I read somewhere that they did come with a body kit as an add-on but I'm not 100 sure.
As it stands my max would be around $6000 to $8000.

This is exactly as we received it- Exceptwe put over $4000.00 in repairs to the fuel system etc & plus had it repainted original color. Previous owner had the body kit installed in Japan
The car starts & runs very well. I don't need to sell & would rather keep it than accept less.

An original JDM car that will smoke a GSLSE. A rare bird indeed. Don't blame you for exploring the limit of what the value may be. I'm assuming the body kit although installed in the mother land was still an aftermarket add on. An opportunity for a seroius collector / speculator. Always interested to learn something new about these cars.

Please don't mistake my meaning - - as I said, a rare and beautiful car. If I had that kind of cash sitting around with nothing to do I'd be sorely tempted, & as the old joke goes "I even like the color."
But "All Original" has a pretty specific meaning when it comes to cars, especially collector cars. Means as-delivered from the manufacturer & with only factory-available options & only mfg or NOS parts used for repairs.
I hope you get your asking price, as a rising tide lifts all boats.
Maybe Stu Aull will wander through the tread and weigh in - he's an officianado of the JDM-only builds & has quite a collection of info at hand. If I'm wrong in any of my critique, I'll happily retract.

I've been building & racing RX 7's sine I purchased my first one in Feb. 1978
this is the only factory Savvana GTX 12A turbo model I've ever seen in the USA
and we usually have 12-15 RX7'S at any given time (over 30 yes in business)

BTW...I don't feel you're being critical...no offense taken! Any purchaser should question the car's condition!!
This car was imported in 1985...& has since been owned in NC. Yes some chassis surface rust... but really not bad...none on body

The later JDM 1st gen RX's def had a pretty broad swath of factory accessories to add on. Many unique to the Home Market. Its quite conceivable this one's body kit is a mazda OE item supplied to dealers for install. I don't claim complete knowledge but have never seen a factory OE brochure displaying this kit on an RX7 that rolled off the factory floor. But I would imagine that if "mazda supplied" it would be qualified as an OE addition. Really splitting hairs here!
The 12A turbos were probably the ultimate 1st Gen Hot Rods. Someone with deep pockets will have quite a conversation-piece at the next mazda-meet.
