a very good stock TII time would be high 14's but most times range from low to high 15's...

this site has the TII;1987 RX-7 Turbo II 15.2 6.7

to be honest, i am not sure what all is on my car yet. i am discovering things as i go along. i don't know because there were extensive mods done tot he car when i got it. so fara i have seen a mass air system, hks wastegate, greddy blowoff valve (maybe the other way around, i don't remember) and MSD ignitions system, ported and polished, the turdo has been upgraded (i believe by boring it out and putting in a larger compressor wheel) because i can run just a shade over 20 psi max, there is also an aluminum radiator and an electric cooling fan. NGK plugs, and magnecor wires, 1000cc leading and 1200cc trailing injectors, high flow fuel pump and low resistence fuel filter. a "dual" 3 inch exhasut coming off of a downpipe that runs to dual magnaflow mufflers. the suspension is tokico i believe. it has the factory intercooler with a CO2 cooling system oin it (i thought that was pretty kewl)and then there are the mods like gauges, SS brake lines, and cosmetic stuff. i thought the car was a good deal. as for any internal modifications i am not sure.

the intercooler is in good condition, none of the seems are loose or cracked. and i don't run it at 20 psi all the time, so i am not too worried about it. BUT, i am planning on upgrading the intercooler to a front mount unit

yes, he told me stuff about the car, but i learned real quick not to trust him. he had almost everything on the car wired with excess speaker wire, and had almost 4- yards of wires on the interior of the car that were hooked to nothing, there were a few other things that i disagree on with him, but it doesn't matter. and i paid $4000 for it (and he is still mailing me aftermarket parts that he sold me with the car)

20 psi???
On pump gas???
OK, I'm an N/A guy, but from what I know about turbos, that is totally deadly(or impossible for more than 10 minutes) to run 20 psi on anything less than 94 octane (with a bottle of 104 in the tank too!) without even aftermarket ECU or timing/fuel computers...
I may be wrong.....

i only run 20 psi when i am gonna race someone that i think i will need it (and when i went to the track) otehr than that i run the highest octane i can get and only boost up to around 10 pounds. i have noticed no problems with that, and i was also informed at the race track that from now on i should at least mix some race gas with my pu,p gas while at the strip. so i guess i was lucky to be running 20 psi.

P.S. -- i forgot to mention that i use a GReddy ProFec A boost controller

CHANGE YOUR INTERCOOLER!!!! No way in hell that intercooler is gunna do! Go for a intercooler upgrade, do the front mount kit, rx7.com has the best price I found, then use the hood scoop to cool the engine bay(wich helps alot running 225+hp), it works like a charm! You WILL feel the diffrence, i'm suprised that intercooler hasn't imploded like a coke can running 20psi!!!

20 psi into a stock intercooler is like rush hour on the GW bridge. Just because you're pushing from one side doesn't mean that things are moving any better on the other side.

How did you find out that the injectors were the size they are?

Also, a rhetorical question..who would spend the money on an external wastegate and big turbo and leave the stock IC on? I don't get some people.

i have a receipt that say what size the injectors are, so i am jsut assuming that is correct. and as for the IS, everyone calm down, i am planning on getting a front mount within the next ferw months. i can count on one hand the am amount of times i have actually run 20 psi. i was just saying that my MAX was 20. it hink he left the stock intercooler because he ran out of time and money. the guy i bought the car from was the original owner. he had joined the marines and found out that he no longer had time or money to put into it, so he sold it.
