What else can I do to make my car quicker?

Hey, I have an 89 GXL with the following mods:
Bonez Race Pipe
Racing Beat catback
Cone filter
ghetto tuned S-AFC

With that I can beat an n/a 300ZX but I still want more power!
Is there any other bolt ons I can get to get some more hp?

Thanks!!

get a header, port/polish your manifold, remove your air pump and install an electric air pump, get some high power ignition system, lets see.... get a nitrous oxide system, pull an Aaron Cake, get a wide band O2 sensor and un "ghetto tune" your S-AFC and tune it right.

If none of that satisfies your thirst, maybe you should start working on lightening/stiffening up your car. Get a good solid suspension system under there (not that the stock RX7 suspension sucks... just.. there is always better)

Good luck and have fun.

Or TII swap and sell me your block for 300 bucks...

Weight reduction will be your cheapest route. A/C, Power Steering, insulation, etc. After that, spend time learning how to tune you AFC better... After that, maybe underdrive pulleys if you're serious about this power thing. Everything else is going to start getting really expensive. Hope this helps!

The most I have seen, Dyno proven, on this site is 170 at the wheels. That car still had some modding left. I would guess 175 would be a good estamate.

It's all about how much money you want to put into it. A turbo will get you power cheaper.

A N/A starts out with 120hp (s4), and 128hp (s5) at the wheels.

If you wanted to speed big money I'm guessing you could squeez as much as 190whp out of a N/A. For the same money you could get 300whp on a turbo.

How about de-ghettoing your S-AFC and get It Dyno tuned so your car can have It for what It's really worth.
