What else can i do ?
Hello everybody! I have a few questions that are probably pretty stupid! Seeing how i've only had my 7 for about a year and am still learning about all the querks of the rotary engine. I have a 86 gxl that i have recently put a street ported motor in. i have a cone filter, pacesetter header, no cats and duel 4.25 ince exhausts'. No what else can i do to free up more power. i know that the stock ignition is pretty good but would consider upgrading to an msd ignition! And i hear that upgradin my injectors will benifit aswell, but what size do i put in and why can't they all be the same size? Just a couple of quick questions, any help you guy's have will be greatly appreciated! thanx

Hmm... I don't know too much about N/A's, but I'm pretty sure that running dual 4.25" Exhaust with no cats probly means you aren't getting enough back pessure to open you're Auxillary ports. I think you would be fine with 2"- 2 1/4", unlesss of course when you say exhaust you mean mufflers, in which case that is probably ok.
But I'm not sure if I street ported N/A retains the 6 ports, or becomes only 4.

ya know i didn't think that back pressure would make a really big difference. insn't their anyway i can keep my 5th and 6th ports open all the time. would that give me more power? And also how can i gain low end power?

I wish I was driving!
1. If you want a turbo, sell your car and Buy a TII.
2. Ditch the pacesetter, and go with a racing beat header. Pacesetter sucks. Get a real straight pipe instead of just hollowed cats.
3. Find a way to operate your auxilary ports. Either wire them open, or use an electronic method.
4. Add a CDI box, such as an MSD 6A, or even better, a Crane HI-6.
5. Do NOT upgrade your injectors. If anything, clean them. Perhaps use a fuel control device, such as the Apex'i S-AFC, to tune your fuel delivery to make some more power. This would require dyno tuning.
6. Lightweight flywheel and a decent clutch. I recommend aluminum, and an ACT clutch setup.
7. nitrous oxide injection. I am developing a VERY good setup for this, so email me at shutup_billy@hotmail.com for more info, and visit my nitrous write-up at 1300cc.com.
8. Port your intake manifolds, and perform the TB mod.
9. Port your motor.
10. Add some pineapple racing auxilary port sleeves.
11. Add a supercharger.
I can keep going... how about a budget and a goal for power?
