What does everyone mean by s4, s5? etc....
Just a simple question. I am a newbee to the site , but I own 3 2nd gens. A 86 n.a , 88tt, 91 n.a. I have learned a lot about the rx7 since I have owned them but there are all these diferent terms for everything. I am a mechanic in training so I am learning a lot about auto technology, and I can tell you the rx7 was technologcally advanced for its time. I never realized how much electronics were cramed into a 14 15 16 year old car. Anyway my question is what is a s4 s5 s6 or so on and on. How do I determine what my cars are. I am attempting to do the imposible on my 91 , and whether it works or not I am really thinking about making a website devoted to it. So I kinda want to know what I am talking about, when I am on this site or If I am working on someones 7 . Thanks a lot..
1st off since people WILL come here and post this.... read the FAQ at the top of the forum, it will answer almost any question you may have.
the answer to your question is: S4 refers to the models made '86-88, S5 refers to the series made during 89-92, i have never heard of S6 but i don't visit the FD side because i can't afford to ask questions over there...
