Rear Counter Weight?

I can't get the freaken rear counter weight off. It is on an auto FD. I've tried everything. Gear puller, big hammer, etc.... It just doesn't want to come off. My question is: How do you get that darn thing off?

Try spraying in some PB Blast along the seam of the mating surface. Let it soak, and repeat. Then get a big *** rubber mallet and go to town

what one guy suggested is you take off the flywheel and slowing put the bolts back into the counter weight in a couple corners. Since the fly wheel isnt there it will be longer and the bolt will run into the rear housing and push it off evenly if you do them all little by little.

I got it off finally. It just took a big crow bar and a 5 lbs. hammer. That's a good idea though. I will try that on this second rotary engine I have lying around.
