Oil Consumption - Should I Be Worried?
Alright, I've got a '91 GTU with 105k miles on it and a factory fresh engine at 80k. It was eating oil when I bought it and all was good but I recently got an oil change (lacking the jack stands to do it myself) about 1k miles ago and the oil level's stayed at full since then. I check it when the engine's cold and when filling it up (warm/hot), always making sure I'm on a level surface. I dunno if I should be freaking out or not. Does it sound like my metering pump is out of whack or my oil injectors aren't working? My compression's above 120 on both rotors and I tend to drive it fairly hard when it warms up and nothing above 3k rpm when it's cold.

Bah! I forgot to mention that in the morning when I start it I do see the puff of blue smoke so I know it's getting an injection when I start her up.

*sigh* I'm concerned that it's NOT burning any oil. And I know the smoke on startup's supposed to be there (I didn't think I made it sound like I was worried about it). o.O

I to believe iam having the same thing happen to me. I have been probally 400 miles on this oil and I honestly cant see any change in the level. Maybe my eyes just suck :\
