what does the ECO control

I am goin carb and need a list of "EVERYTHING" the ECU controls and is resoncible for.. i am tring to get rid of that lil bugger and the entire wiring harness.. thanks Dave

Fuel and spark. carb + dizzy = very little wiring!

But the dizzy depends on the tps and boost/pressure sensor inputs also. Right?

I put series four coil assys and ECU on a 82 model and the timing would not advance until I tied the 82 tps into the ECU. I think it also needed the input from the boost/pressure sensor......but never got past the input from the tps until the project fell into disrepair.

so since i am gonna have a MSD box and a 12a dist and carb.. i can get rid of the ECU and entire harness??

Kinda seems that way. The Racing BEat catalogs and the Mazdatrix catalogs address this swapping from FI to carb, I THINK. Not the online catalog though.

And another fuel pump is needed or a fuel pressure regulator that will cut down on the factory pump pressure.

The oil metering lines go to a fitting on the floats. The RB Holley's have a linkage to the oil metering pump and the cruise control.

They use a 460 for the 12a engines, a 550cfm for the 13B and a 600/650cfm for the 13B with a bridgeport.
