ok so sunday auto-x day by the way my motor blew i think. not quite sure. here is what it does. what do you think caused it? lost near all power and started to run a bit warm on the freewaygot to a point where it wouldnt idle without me helping. so we cooled it down checked oil and coolant. didnt want to race without checking this stuff.all good. checked for blown water o-rings, they are good. checked compression by removing plugs and feeling/counting puffs. good. fired it back up and it took a while to get it going. would only run at 500 rpm with the throttle at wot. sounbded like one rotor wasnt hitting. finally i got it to revv. revved rather quickly but sounded the same, right when it started to revv the oil started pouring out the bottom of the car. on further inspection of the oil leak it looks like it is leaking around the whole motor on the rear iron between the housing. what happened and why? i never got to race either. i love these cars!

 

cracked rotor housing? or maybe oil ring went out. i think its time for a new engine

 

kind of sounds like you cracked an iron at the pin sleeves from detonation.

 

don't think it was detonation but definately something major. i have the new motor problem already solved. a month ago i got a j spec t2 and had it rebuilt, new turbo the works. installing it tomorrow and saturday. should be ready to race on sunday. but projects usually take a month or so longer than i plan.
