Dude just strip your Turbo II then put it back together. Get it all on tape. That should cover everything.

no need to make a separate video for each topic. you can combine lots of these topics when you are doing a video of engine removal/reinstall.

in my opinion, the topics useful for most people are the maintainance/repair stuff. i am not too sure how many would install a sc or rebuild a tranny; cool topics, but again, most won't deal with it..

my 2 cents...and thanks for doing this. i will definitely learn something..

dewey
Clutch replace could be handled during the tranny swap, and during that time I could throw in a stcok Tranny R&R. I only thought I would add the T56 install b/c I would be doing it anyway, and it would make for some interesting ideas, anyway.

Brakes are a will-do. I already have ss lines, but I can show installation and bleeding on the car anyhow.

Bushing replacement is something I was going to do, thanx. I was gonna do the complete energy suspension install.

Shock/spring replacement I can do. I will be adding a set of adjustable coil-over's to my car, and can just show it during that time.

SS oil line replacement: Yes. I can even show how to make your own using Earl's or Aeroquip lines.

Oil Pan Gasket: Yes, but more than likely only on a car needing it.

Yes. labour would be free, and you would pay cost of materials used and rental on any tools required (I have spring compressors though... what else would be needed?).

Yeah, anyone who had something that they wanted done for free, and would allow me to videotape me doing it would be more than appreciated.

I wouldn't mind a TII rebuild

I wouldn't mind a stock TII video rebuild and maybe a turbo replacement with a ballbearing oil and coolant cooled turbo video.

I also wouldn't mind a full interior pull out/restore video (rust removal/replacement metal/re-coating), a suspension replacement video, a full underbody restoration video with instructions on different materials to purchase to strip/re-coat the underbody. etc.

Oh well...I am doing those anyways LoL...

Really, it looks like I will end up doing a complete strip of my cars and put them back together.
To give you guys an idea:

I currently have a 1990 TII, with the following mods:
- Street port
- intake manifold porting
- tb mod and porting
- 3" Downpipe to catback
- Intake
- ACT clutch
- E-fan
- HI-6 CDI box
- Dual-stage NOS; stg 1 single fogger, stg 2 direct-port
- Ported S5 wastegate
- Lowering springs
- SS oil lines
- Electric Water Pump
- SS brake Lines
- Aeromotive 1200hp inline fuel pump, with twin fuel filters, running to stock injectors from a rear sumped gas tank
- Pads
- Removed P/S, a/c, air pump, acv, bunch of solenoids, stock fuel rails

For the TII, I plan on adding:
- Cat back (GT, I think....)
- Haltech
- GReddy FMIC
- Turbo unit
- T56 with driveshaft, clutch, and shifter
- Suspension bushings
- Coil overs with camber plates
- Strut bars; front, rear, and lower
- Adjustable sway bars, fr. and rear
- Camber bars in the rear

I will also be picking up an NA, and can show:
- lowering springs
- maintenance and tune-up (TPS, plugs, oil pan, bleeding, fluid changes)
- SS oil line making
- p/s, a/c, emission removal
- Engine R&R, rebuild, intake porting, exahust install
- flywheel
- clutch
Basically all the little crap.

Anything else that would be wanted I could show on someone else's car (Wormiez's), or just as R&R of parts, including ones already listed.
I will ask for more requests when I actually start filming.
Sound good?

I already posted about the NA to T2 conversion.
I am already showing a rear-end drop, a Tranny removal and reinstall, and an engine R&R, which really is all a TII swap involves.
I can include instructons for the rest of the stuff (AFM, pressure sensor, etc.), but I will not show an actual conversion.

I am against said conversions.

I will be working until the 3rd week of august, in Northern BC. After that, I'm, definitely down for coffee and a cruise.

good luck!

Too bad I never took pictures of my whole Haltech install (some pics, but not the tuning process), 60-1 T04B RnR and install, suspension install (the whole thing except the passive bushing eliminator), engine rebuild and porting, clutch replacement, and fuel pump install/re-wiring.

It sounds like it would've been helpful for y'all.

J

btw, it'll cost a lot of $$$ for the stuff you listed.

How about...
20B conversion?
Transmission rebuild?
Different kinds of bridgeporting?
Engine doweling?
How to tune a stand-alone EMS?

Wet NOS system is in the wings, as I already have a two stage wet NOS system on my TII.
Turbo kit... Maybe I can fab one and sell it? Expect that maybe a year from now.

I do have a DVD burner...
But people need a DVD player to watch them, not something everyone has.
I think an online version and a regular CD version is best, b/c everyone has a player on their computer.

If I could do all that with $14,000, I would.
Tuning of the Haltech on the dyno will be taped for sure.
Maybe engine dowelling... need to learn how on that one first.

I was looking at the cost of new superchargers and it seems like you hit maybe-I-should-just-get-a-TII territory very fast. What are the possibilities of building a system with a used stock supercharger (thunderbird?) and a Haltech?

I would be interested in any of the videos. DVD or VHS

There are no superchargers that could easily bolt on. The stock thunderbird S/C is a positive displacement (roots-type) blower, and would require extenisve intaker modifcations as well as the welding of a completely brand new aluminum intake manifold. This intake would be very complex, and quite out of the price region and knowledge of someone asking this type of question.
Your best bet would be to find a used centrifugal supercharger off an old mustang or the likes. Brands such as Paxton, Vortech, ATI, and Ford are quite popular.
PM me for more info...

All videos made will be included on the video set, and I will make tapes of any work I do. Although interest in this mod may be low, it will be included b/c I will be doing the T56 swap on my car.
