no I like it man your doing just what I wanted! I thought the speaker location was very inovative and worked quite well. I have a friend that does speaker installs for a living so together we really made this thing sound good with about a 0 dollar budget

No it is one of the worst spots in the car, (as your friend should have known if he installs for a living) for sound quality.

looks like your just going to have to come down here and hear it for yourself. I know a bunch of people said this would sound bad but I don't think people did the same exact thing I did. I tried this without the air tight caned foam at first and there was too much air flow so I descided to use the stuff and after that it sounded great. But I guess you just won't believe me until you hear it for yourself.

hmm... If you've got cash to blow, try to make all the gauges have the same color face... will really help. right now it looks like you mixed and matched at the clearence bin at K-Mart.

Also... you need a new clutch pedal pad...

yeah I agree about that stuff keneth expecially the pads just waiting for another pay check. The boost gauge and egt (the ones that matter) are hks the oil pressure, a/f ratio and, fuel pressure is guess-0-meter so yes you are absolutly right I need to make them all the same however right now as long as they are telling me what is going on I don't care.

hell yeah subs

what the shiznit---subs mean your'e a ricer now huh?? damn my 91 lumina 3.1 must be a rice factory or something considering i have 2 cerwin vega stroker 15's and a memphis 1000d upgraded to about 1700 watts-peak and 1100rms. but hey when i have my 7 i'm only doing a sub-rice setup with an all alpine setup---mrv-t757 amp- no idea on the deck name--but a nice little 500$ one i piced up cheap, a chapo capacator and nice polk somponent speakers all the way around. but hey that's just my taste, and i am mounting them in the back under the window--or ias i call it (baffle)-- it does sound better put there as opposed to in the center,--i do agree to each his own but i did compete in car-fi for a reason. to make sure i learned how to make a damn good sounding install. but i love the car, very clean-(aside engine ) and very nice details all around. kudos to you my frind, allthough when i get my 87-na running we'll have to see who's looks better :-) peace out

We don't have to hear it to know it could sound a lot better. The positioning of the speaker is physics. Are you now going to try to argue the laws of sound waves?

Forget it. There's no sense in trying to elad the blind... just let them wander into traffic.

lol, ok man I believe there are places in the seven that can sound "better" but where they are there is no box or anything that will clutter up the back. You seem a little touchy on the subject witch is cool, like people have been saying to each their own but damn dude LAY OFF THE CRACK!

You're quick to call everyone touchy when they make logical comments on your car that differ to yours.

If you don't like the comments, suck it up, b/c you asked for them. Accusing me, or others, of being touchy or a free-base cocaine user isn't going to discredit our comments, it only makes you look immature.

Lets recap: You designed a subwoofer box in possibly the worst location you can (save putting two 8" subs in the rear strut towers). You are informed of this fact, and then decide to argue that we must be wrong b/c "it sounds good", a subjective opinion which has no validity as it is based without informed fact. When people inform you of this fact, you decide to start making accusations. These accusations are not hurtful, but merely stupid. They are without a doubt, not funny.

You want real opinion on your car? It is ghetto. Really ghetto. It looks like everything was accomplished as quickly as possible with no thought or insight, and it looks like the works of a 16 year old with a McDonalds income. The engine bay looks cheap... hella cheap. The odd red vacuum hose placed around some disgusting steel wleds that you call a FMIC thrown into a muddy, greasy pit of an engine bay. The interior... is dirty and missing some common wear items that are cheap and easy to replace, parts that should come far before any performance modification. The installations of all of the aftermarket parts are ghetto: not bolting down amps, spray can insulation instead of a sealed box, gauge panel not even made of flat material.
Overall, you have taken a decent GT and thrown all of the $2 crap you could find at it. Your exhaust has the well-shared opinion of sounding terrible, you raped the turbo badges off of a porsche. I am not even remotely impressed with your car, or what you call a project. In my opinion, it is the culmination of modification without thought.

THAT is my opinion. THAT you could call touchy.

ok now this is getting good! You say I'm quick to tell everyone that they are touchy, your quick to think you are right (witch I hate to burst your egotistical bubble but your not) In fact your comments about my car are your oppinion witch is great but they are miss informed and and simply put uneducated! What the hell are you talking about my badges are off of a porsche? Obviously you are mistaken as I have nothing from a porsche even remotly close to this car. and what is this "You are informed of this fact, and then decide to argue that we must be wrong b/c "it sounds good", a subjective opinion which has no validity as it is based without informed fact". hummm lets see informed fact I have it installed in my car now and it sounds pretty ******* good and thats a fact! I don't care about your stupid logic behind why this doesn't sound good! Are you here listening to it? no you are mearly reading what others have wrote about what they sound like in the bins, so before you go and say someone is missing an informed fact look at yourself and *edited for flaming when you type these uneducated sounding words! Anyways on a lighter note my engine isn't even half way done and as I think I mentioned before I am not done with this project just mearly getting started. *edited for flaming

I am gonna close this thread.

He doesn't want to hear anything negative about the car and since you can't have the good without hearing the bad...

Well anyway lets see if we can avoid the flame war that the owner started with his last post…
