it still has a long way to go but I wish I would have taken before pics. THe carpet was torn to **** the seats had almost no leather left on them, the car was broken into so the center consol was all broken because of the bastard that broke in. The dash had spilt coke all over it witch was stained a nasty brown color. the calipers and rotors where both rusted away. So now its in my posession and its getting better treatment than me

whats with the hacked in stereo speakers in the bins?

Probably one of the worst spots to mount them for sound quality in the car, and you didn't even support the bin lid to keep it from falling/bending.

If you have to the speakers there, you should at the absolute least remove the bins (leaving the support), cut a nice piece of MDF, cover it with carpet that matches the interior and mount the speakers to it, and them mount it over where the bins were.

But for better sound quailty make a small enclosure in the back corners or in the spare tire well. You would be surprised at how much better your bass will hit, over the bin location (and probably sound 1000% better than over your current mounting methods).

Really this setup sounds great! The camara makes the bins covers look bent but they really aren't. I took that foam in a can and enclosed all the holes that are under the bins so that the box is actually air tight, then I put pillow stuffing in it and now they hit hard and sound perfect!!!

Well, what you have done to your car is almost as far as you can get away from my taste. As long as you like it, that is all that matters.

i would have to agree,u should hav done what i done remove the bins and the board will be on a angle aiming the speakers to the front of the car, hits hard and sounds tight, but hey everybody has there ownn taste and style

Demistor grills are under $10 from the dealership, and only take a week to arrive.

While you may think your bass sounds good, don't continue to delude yourself: It could sound better. Much better. I've heard a pair of alpine 12's placed into the rear bins. Sounded like a head cold.
Mind you, I guess it is volume outside the car and not inside that counts? *sigh*

Might want to screw down those amps... it'd take about 5 seconds to break the hatch and gank em.

12s are two big for the bins these 10s are perfect and sound just as good if not better than when I had a speaker box for them. I know demistor grillers are one of the things on my list to do however right now I'm just worried about getting a turbo that works The carpet I got from a guy off of the internet for 50 bucks almost brand new! chrissanders@netzero.net this is his email address if you need it.

Ahhh yeah, stock.... okay. And sound good??? not mounted that way or that location they won't. They might sound okay, but never good.

At least bolt the amps down so that if you get into an accident they don't fly foward and kill you, your passenger and anyone in front of you.
