What do yall think??

I looking for a new set of wheels and was wondering what yall think about these wheels with 235 45 17 or 255 45 17. Here's a link http://www.enjukuracing.com/square-w...3-p-11019.html

I think I would rather drop $60 on some good used stock sized tires from the local parts yard and have them mounted and balanced for another $25. Then I'd drop $200 on new brake discs and pads, fix any other major issue on my almost 25-year-old car and drive it until something major like the engine wears out or I can afford a newish car that gets better gas mileage and requires less upkeep. Those rims look too modern for the 2nd gen's body style and they're $500. If you really want some rims check your local craigslist. People regret buying rims alot then sell them so they can use their money for something more practical like a house, food, baby, or a college education.

^^ way to be a downer. some of us buy pretty things to stave of the depression of having massive crushing debt from college, and what if your car actually does have reliability mods done to it already? are we allowed to buy wheels then?

spend your money on whatever you want, just don't run out or you'll have to sell those wheels and make pkvillknight correct.

I like them, but the ones in the pics look like 15"s? methinks they would look sweet in 17"

The wheels are nice, but knight is right. You even said so yourself, you have a "crushing college debt" $500 will go a long way to helping this. There are way more important things in life than your car. I am not your father though so do what you like. Sometimes you just need a reality check. At least some people are looking out for you, so don't take this the wrong way.

Woah, not the response i was looking for but it's all gravy. My car already has drilled and slotted rotors, 5 lug, and a good set of pads. I wasn't asking how should i build my car, i was just asking yall's opinion about these rims. Anyway.....Osirus9 the link that i posted offers them in 17x9 with a +15 offset but the ones shown are 16x9 with a+15 offset. AmT T i have no college debt yet =). I appreciate yall looking out for me but I work full time and go to college full time so i think i deserve a little reward and riding clean in my fc is such a great feeling.

I work full time, and go to college part time so I know how you feel. I can't live 10 years of my life without buying anything nice for myself just because I have loans to pay off... Plus, it's none of our damn business if you have the money or not to buy something.

Also, yea, I see that those were 16"s. I would definitely go with the 17"s, the 16"s look too small. That car's crazy body kit might be throwing me off though.

I'd really look at prices of tires. I noticed a huge jump in price from 16" to 17" Most ppl tell me mine look awesome on the FC. I have 16x8 skyline GT-R wheels I'm happy them.

PvillKnight7 you're not a downer just realistic. Yeah i know the tire prices are insane. I was wondering what would be a good tire size for the 17".

True dat! I'll research then buy them. If they don't fit I'll make them fit.

I'm no rim expert but I don't think +15 is enough offset for 17x9.

Check this:

Are you running stock suspension? Coilovers? this will make a big difference on the offset you can run without contacting the spring perch/mount thing.

Why? You're buying them new. Just buy the ones that fit. FYI, 17x8 +35 with 235's is right about the limit for stock front fenders.

Correct. You'll need overfenders unless you can pull the stock fenders out ~35mm.

Yes i am lowered on stance coilovers. The camber plates are set at max neg. camber. The wheels i have now i don't like because it's not flush and i want a big lip. Here's a link of the car now. https://www.rx7club.com/picture.php?...ictureid=39076

Change of plans. Homeboy offered his engine with some goodies for $300. Bridge ported, s5 t2 housings, light weight rotors, s6 corner seals, 8lb lightweight flywheel, and RB ignition wires and header.
