Question no heat

i have a 88 and for some reason the car wont heat up i even put a new thermostst in it and the needel will bearly come off the cold mark is there anything to do to get the car to warm up more

Does your fan spin with some, but not a whole lot of resistance?

There is *probably* no need to try to raise the temp any more. Temp gauges on the series 4 cars (86-88) normally read about 1/4 ~1/3 when they get up to temperature and the thermostat opens. They switched the gauge setup later partly because many people had the same complaint you are stating here.

He's correct.

Your temp gauge will never read above 1/3 at normal temp.

Mine used to sit a hair above thethe line above C. As long as you're getting good heat inside the car, your car is running warm enough.

If you open the hood, is it warm? Do you mean the heater won't work? Have you checked that the coolant lines run to the firewall for the heater core?
