what do these connectors do on the engine harness??

I don't have a picture yet, I'll get one as soon as I can. but the one 20+ wire harness that connects to the ecu (but doesn't go out to the engine)
what is connected to that?

and what are the 4 extra 1wire conncters on my convertible? they are blue or orange connectors.

I sold my wiring harness and I'm wondering if I'm going to need these vert-specific wires.

That harness goes into the dash and to your ignitors and stuff on the drivers side of the engine bay. I think this is the one your talking about

are you sure it goes across the dash to the drivers side? does it terminate anywhere under the dash too?

also, for the wiper motor. where does the other end of the cable go? I need to run a new one since the harness I have doesn't have a plug for it.

cut out the wires and plugs that where on the N/A engine wire harness. You might be able to go to the junk yar and get those just cut them out.

make shure to bundel, tape and mark the bundle of wires wheather they headed to the engine or to the socket.

if I'm reading your pictures right, it goes into the ecu harness!?

I don't have any other wiring harnesses at all, and no junkyards around here have any rx-7's in them (I've looked)

Yhea it the big yellow harness comes from the engine harness and plugs into the interior plug that is under neath the dash. when you take out the engine harness you will see where it plugs into.

All USDM models have these plugs and harneses.

The brownish orange plug go into the interior of the car and plug into their correspondig female plugs.

On the last picture you can't see the rest of the blue and green wires, but those plug into the windshield wiper motor( in pic) and to the cruise control actuator.

Now on a stock car the wires aren't haging out like on the picture. They are nicely wraped in electric tape and such, so to acces these wires you will need to take out the harness and remove the electric tapeso that you can take the winshield wiper and cruise control harness out.

Now if you have followed me to this point your are in the right track. As you can see on the pic the blue wires where put into the J-spec yellow plug on there correspondid location.

The brown plug plugs in under the dash and corresponds to the cruisse control. you will need to sauter 3 wires on to the engine harness.

Now when I took these wires out of N/A engine harness I took it out with the Yellow plug, so that I coud see where the wires go. Then I took out the wires that I needed from the N/A yellow plug and put them in corresponding location in the J-spec yellow plug.

I think I am making all this just to complicated, but Ill take some new pictures of the finished wireing.

Hope this helps.

The first pic the brown wire with blue stripes goes in the corner where the arrow points.

Two wires are left extra, Their is no spot for them. I don't know what they are for, but someone else might know. anyone.....

secont pic you just need to sauter those wires to corresponding wires on the brown plug.

Have fun
