Exclamation What to do with the cosmo omp? help please

Hi, i jus bought a 13B-Re and i noticed it has an electronic omp. When i put the motor in my rx7 will it still work? Noob questions yes but i am very concerned, do i still have to plug it up and if so, how many volts and how will it make it work? and if not then just hide the wires and the pump will still work? thanks i am lost lol.

Hey man you need to do some searching. What ecu are you going to run. A standalone possibly. What year car is it anyway. If you search re swap you will get plenty of results. Have fun

My car is an S4 87 TurboII and im running the Rtek 2.1 Ecu with the perfect power Smt6 Piggy back. I am talking to banzai Racing (good people) and spent hours on fc3spro.com learning and seaching. Banzai said to block of the pump and run pre mix. I really dont want to do that. Measurements and 2 cycle oil and seperate containers and precise... lol. Im sure there is something else i can do. Thanks again.

You can swap out the front cover but then you will have to rig up some sort of linkage on the TB to allow the mechanical OMP to work. Additionally the 13b-re only uses two oil injectors, the S4 uses four, so you run into a plumbing concern. It is far less of a headache and less likely to cause engine failure to simply block it off and run premix.

you really don't have to be that precise especially since it's up in the air/personal preference what is actually the right amount of 2-stroke to put in.

I have a bunch of 16oz coke bottles I just fill up to close to the top and dump one in every time I fill up my tank.

lol eage8 you have a point. Well i going to do o the pre-mix just like banzai racing says. Its the more logical way of doing it and when it comes down to, its not really a bother. Fill up with gas and put some two cycle according to how much gas i put. Not really rocket science i dont know why i was so worked up about it. Plus is lubricates the engine better then conventional oil! Its a win win. Thanks again banzai racing you guys opened my mind lol.
