What to do with 12k

I've got about 12k to play with and was wondering what you all think I should do with it?

Rebuild my 88 TII with high compression rotors, ported, t60, fmic, haltech, ect.

Buy a different 2nd gen thats already fixed up? (that would be cheaper than the rebuild of mine but who knows who did the work and if it's done right?)

Buy a 3rd Gen.

To heck with the RX-7, Get something else and part out the TII.

What would you do?

w/ 12k you could buy a 3rd gen
but you wouldnt have money to put into it.

I would buy a 3rd gen and then sell your TII and use the money from that to get ems for the fd and exhaust/intake maybe turbo depending on what your fc is worth

Or, if your engine is already blown in your TII, I would rebuild it/port it and make it fast.

And yes my engine is blown.

But where would I put my stereo equip ion a vert?
see below my back end.

How I gonna fit this in there?

Anyone have a picture of the inside of the trunk on a vert?

Yo - West TX, That's some kind of mobile PA platform you got there..
With a Vert, you may have to scale back to a Bazooka behind the seat.

dont part out your TII just because of a blown engine.

no need to take more and more off the streets just becuase of a blown engine.

Rebuild the engine, hypntyz7 will do it for 1500 bux streetported

Isn't .81 kinda small for a hot side for a streetport?

Take a '23 T-Bucket and overlay the fiberglass body with carbon fiber and clearcoat it. Put a 13b turbocharged fuel injected peripheral port in it. Throw a Haltech and an all digital dash. Take it to a real good glass and top shop and have a tight top made for it so you can drive it whenever you want.
You talk about a headturner!

Blow it all on hookers. Or you could sell all of the stereo crap weighing it down, and have an extra 5 grand to play with.

I am unsure what to do that is why I made this post. Just to get a feel what other people would do. I always said I was going to fix up my car but now that i have the money in hand i'm having second thoughts.

I have a home with a 2 1/2 car garage so no need that. Been to Vegas several times, gambling is overrated, had more fun at the M&M shop and shows.

Always thought the 3rd gen was super cool looking but for the same money for a 3rd gen i could make my 2nd gen smoke a Viper.

Then again I had an 87 Buick Grand National I sold in 1990 and can kick myself in the butt everytime I think about that stupid move. So been lookign at them.

A miata with a supercharger would be cool. Soo many things can be done with the money. When you don't have it you want to spend it. When you do have it you want to save it.

Weird..........

I do not know what I want. I thought I did but now that I have the money in hand it is hard to let go of.

I have always liked the way the 3rd gen looks but for the same money I could make my FC smoke a Viper.

I have a 2 1/2 car heated garage and been to Vegas, gambling is overrated. I had more fun at the M&M shop and the shows.

I had a Buick Grand National in high school that I sold in 90. I can kick myself in the butt everytime I think about that stupid move so I've been looking at them.

When you don't have th emoney you want to spend it. When you do, you become really greedy with it and want to make the right choice.

This thread is a way to help me view things from an outside perspective.

blown miata wouldn't be as exciting as a turbo miata. Well an eaton/roots style blower would make the car kick even more *** in solo II comp's.

I think my over all goal for the car is just to crack 11's. 11.999 is plenty fast for me. After that I'd probably work on suspension and cosmetic stuff then just have fun with the car.
