What complications will there be when pulling A/C out?

I am going to pull my A/C out. Just curious as to what problems I may run into. I am not doing it for weight reduction, or anything like that. I just don't ever use it, the times I have used it, it makes my car idle weird, and doesn't put out that cool of air, maybe needs to be recharged. But, recharging isn't worth the 10 days a year that it may be useful.

So, I was just curious if anyone had done this. All i can think is A/C cooler lines, A/C radiator, A/C compressor..... pretty much anything hooked to the A/C cooler lines.

Anything in the interior? Might end up pulling my dash out, doing some wiring stuff, and pulling anything back there. That would be much later though.

As far as A/C goes, that's about it. The only things that you can remove under the dash that's climate control related will be the heater core and blower. Both of which you'll need for heat.

Also, if you still have freon in the system, make sure you get that evacuated properly so you don't pollute. I think most a/c shops can do that.

Question: Do you think it wise to remove everything on a car you don't use very often?

Think of all those other extra things you could discard: the 5th lug nut on each wheel, the body sidemolding, the jack and the spare tire, the right side wiper blade, the right turn signals (everyone knows that Canada took a hard left during the 60's!), the front bumper of course, you don't really use that stuff too often, do you?

Just busting on you. I think you should leave it in because the car is better with it than it is without it. One complication is the car will now be hacked up and worth less money when you sell it. Fewer people will be interested. Potential buyers (with money) will wonder what else you have hacked up/out. You may damage other things, trim, wiring etc. as you take the dash out to remove the last little bit of A/C hardware.

I live in washington. haha. we see a top of 90. sometimes rarely 96 or 97. haha.

No plans on selling it. Buying a house in the next year, and putting car in the garage. It will become a summer driver / track car. New DD is NSX. hehe, just like the way they look.

So, for anyone else that looks at pulling A/C out, but plans on selling later... don't. But, if the plans are a 90% track car, non-DD, I don't see the harm.

I don't think I need turn signals...... hahah, everyone should watch where I am going.......
