what color to get?

I will be getting my car painted in 2 weeks . Anyway, I thinking about going "flat balak" not primer but real paint. It will probably be charcol(sp) black. I was just wondering if you guys could throw out some othe colors that wold look sweet on the T2. Pics would be great

I'm going to keep my car looking stock, no wing or bodykit...just a sexy plain old T2

Thanks

Dark green metallic. I've never seen one in person, but I imagine it would look pretty good.

Why in the world do people paint their cars a "flat" color? Dont they realize that looks like ****? Why would you spend 1000's of dollars on a paintjob that looks like its been sitting in the sun for 10 years!!! Drives me nuts!

Exactly what I was thinking. Entertaining to read about, and maybe fun for a bunch of monkeys that don't have to pay for their stuff, but probably not a very good idea. If you want to get a cheap paint job, and don't care about looks, by all means, spray paint your car, but it seems like a really bad idea to pay a body shop good money to do something like that.

That said, I like a dark green too, like a British racing green, looks good. I'm curious to see what the Ifini green/black looks like in person too.

British Racing Green is one of my favorite colors.

I would reccomend Royal Maroon Metallic though. It's not quite a true maroon, but rather a really deep red. I have not seen any color that looks better on an FC. Paint code 3A.

If you want black don't make it flat. Also, I had a 90 Black Vert which I repained and they used a black Mercedes Benz color that contained very light amount of silver and gold metalic flake in it. The car looked incredible and much better than the stock black.

Note, if you are a ricer don't bother with fresh paint, just stick some more stupid stickers on it. You'll save a ton of money and ur car will be faster/

Wow, dont get your panties in a bunch. We are trying to help you avoid looking like a dumbshit. If Flat paint was soo popular or cool, dont you think new cars would be coming out with flat paint? No, you know why??? It LOOKS LIKE ****!!

If you really think flat colors look good then do I have the car for you!
I have a 88 RX7 GXL with a CUSTOM flat goldish colored paintjob. I like to call
it oxidation, but we will call it "Custom" today. Since it has such a FANCY paintjob on it, I will sell it to you for the low price of $3000.00 - But for those that want to buy a 88rx7 with a faded/oxidized paintjob, they can have it for $1000. See, your getting the hookup. You will be the envy of all your friends!!

Two recommendations

Firstly, British Racing Green. Preferably matched from an MG, and even more preferably with a big white strip from front to back.

Secondly, have you seen that soft blue that the new Crossfire comes in? *drools*
