Question What can make a stock turbine spool faster? Better Bearings maybe?

I know better flowing exhaust, and a cone intake,etc..
but is there high quality bearings or something that can be installed into the turbo that can make it spool alittle quicker.

i have a stock turbo housing, but my internal is not stock, the blades are a bit bigger.

just wondering...

I never understood why people said it was fake power. I personally think its a great idea. Is it b/c you can make BIG horsepower for cheap?I like that thinking.
I will use nitrous as an additive to power, not a substitute for power. IE: no throwing NOS on a stock engine, but using it while you wait for the big turbo to spool.

if you have spooling issues with a stock turbo then you have SERIOUS ISSUES somewhere man, a stock turbo with a 3 inch exhuast and good intake has NO LAG except in first if you have the twin scrol removed

damn fu you want the instay spool stock turbo to spool faster..... well hears how you do it. sharpen all your turbine blades then send it out and have it balenced. I did this awhile back but never had it balenced it ran fine for 3000 miles then I upgraded. man you want a instaspool thats the ticket. trust me it spools right off idal

Or in 5th gear at 2000 RPM. I never have problems spooling mine.

a big street port will also help spool your turbos

In fifth gear at about 3000 RPMs it takes about 1 second for the turbo to spool up to full boost if I floor the throttle. I suppose that's decent...

I don't know if you realize that your options are all going to cost you some serious cash.

Most likely, you're thinking about retrofitting a ball-bearing center.&nbsp I know of only Turbonetics that will be willing to do such a job, but that's going to cost you serious cash (min $600).

Else, the only other option is to "clip the turbine".&nbsp If the turbo shop know what they are doing, it can give you noticable faster spool up (maybe 1kRPM earlier at the most), as clipping TOO much can cause later spool-up.

what do they do when they "clip" the turbine?
im going to replace my cone intake with a fresh one, and install a straight pipe as soon as i get my exhaust from LA. from sebring7.
TID will also help as well i guess.

my timing is "retarded" right now, and i really do need to get it up. and put the boost to 10.

QUESTION, how safe is running a turbo2 thats not heavily ported, with a full exhaust, intake, etc, g-force 12psi ecu.....at 10 psi.

is 10 psi to much?
