WOW shakes head back and forth. Well I wrote up a nice reply 6 hrs ago but forum was gay and never posted it. Seeming thread going down hill suddenly. Oh well.

A BOV is very important no matter what anyone says. Personally I prefer recalculating my system. This is a lil bit of work a lil difficult and a pain in the *** when it is not necessary. The odds are if you have a BOV you are venting it and not recalculating. Yes even thows of you who posted something along the lines of WHOOSHH is gay stupid ricer. Well 1 of 2 things ether you don’t even have a turbo and are talking **** or you do have one and I will bet that you are venting. Why b/c its a pain in the *** to make a recalculating system. So now that 99.8% of us including me are venting regardless if we prefer recalculating why not get a BOV that you like and think sounds good. So now that we are venting and all lets take some options on sound so we can chose one that we think sounds best and offers maximum performance for our applications. And quit screaming ricer and being a lame *** hypocrite b/c some kid asked a ? along not so performance outlook.

Hey anyways ricers are useful. They ether show us what not to to do make our cars fast and not brake or they give some unique ideas on appearance for the car.

Man I have the best BOV ever. That burrito I eat 3 hrs ago. It is venting some serious pressure from my anus. Everyone turns there head when it releases. Best of all it was only $5.98 and tasted good going down.

And maybe some people don't run stock ECU's. Therefore it is not required to recirculate. Although gas mileage might suffer.

You have to admit, 75% of the typical "ricers" will only purchase a BOV to "be heard".

Thats what spell check does to your post.. Weather you have to recirculate or not it is still a good idea. I have not come across a GT style race car turbod that did not reguardless of EMS.

Yes a ricer will only purchas on sound. They dont belong having a turbo. Oh yea anyways they will just blow it shortly so dont matter realy.

But non of that was my point. If you are getting one and you are venting find the ones that work best for your application and then find the one that you like best. I mean damn your going to fork out alot of dough for one might as well be happy with it and have one that sounds decent.

If you have a standalone, why would gas mileage suffer. I dont care what ya'll say, we can be on this topic for hours. I like my swoosh to sound nice. you can call me a ricer, but chances are youll be doing it while looking at my taillights..

The only few benefits to recirculating is better gas mileage, and maybe a faster intake charge thus spooling slightly faster? That's what i would guess, but i'm going to go back to reading maximum boost.

I dont know about that. mine goes swoosh to you know

I do not know about the gas milage other than that maybe the split second of combushtion used to represureize the IC system back up.

Yes it does help spool the turbo back up.

Recirculating is realy most benafishal to EMS controld cars. It is not a good idea to though unmeterd air into the system as a recirculating system does. So a vented system is the best choice for a stock ECU equiped car.

when the bov discharges the air using the the stock ecu(afm) the air is already metered. Therefore you recirculate it back into the system. especialy since the stock bov releases pressure while idling.. but once you do aftermarket theres no need to. And on aftermarket ems cars, no afm is need, therefore no need to recirculate the air(map)...

No. There only 12v it mainly tells the car that the alt is there and working. without it your dummy lights ushaly stay on all the time. A google on alternator exciter wires may help some more.

Yea i know how that is im lazy on crap like that too. I procrastinated like 2 weeks on the electrical work on that GTU project I did.

^ agreed. i keep checking this thread and im getting no answers. i still have no idea what to get. ill prob. go with hks since i have there exhaust and kinda wann stay wiht the same company. soooo. which hks is a good one where it doesnt sound like a bird is getting chewed up by my fan and gives a nice solid* see ya later* note but also does the job with reliability?

WTF are you talking about there has ben tons of valuable posts about BOV's. As reguarding a lame ? as sound go to some of the sound clips posted sheez if you cant make a desishion on some of the NFO posted then you dont need to be buying a BOV.

haha this threads going nowhere. Just an opinion of mine..the hks has a great design for someone who will run different boost settings ie. 10 psi daily, 15+ track because of its dual piston design. The smaller one opens up for lower boost and the larger one opens when theres a lot more backpressure from higher boost. My friends have said it feels like their car does spool up and have more power right after a shift when their bov is recirculated. I'm getting a standalone and won't bother with recirculating mine. Also I won't get the hks becsause 5 people in my city already have it and I hate when people have the same parts as me, so I'll probobally end up with a Greddy type S (I'm going to run 10psi daily and 15 on the track.)

thanks, i think im still going with hks since i HOPE to be at around 10lbs. safely but not sure if it will be daily, maybe like 8lbs. or so but is the hks good for lower boost like 5 or so cause im gonna slowly get ballsy and turn up the boost slighty every day till i can get up to 10 so she dont pop.
