I want that BOV! I never heard it though. I have the Greddy Type S now & I don't like it to much, probly cause the previous owner stripped the top bolt that adjusts to soft or hard.

Well Im using a Greddy type RS. It is loud and all and exspensive. If you ask me I recirculate and prefer it I dont want it to sound its kinda gay and all. But right now its venting so I know how it sounds and it is more of a solid presure release sound. The type RS has a very easy twist remove vent to screw on for recirculating if you want.

Edit: Yo I want something to make the turbo quit to that be sweet no one be able to tell its turbo.

Alot of people have ben asking me how the RS sounds and if I can post a sound clip. So I will get a vid clip of it tuesday and you can deside yourself if you like it.

Have you allready started this swap? Will you be using the stock TMIC and all stock parts or are you upgrading to a FMIC and so on?

Well sounds like you have a idea of what your doing now. SonicRat is probly the best person on the forum to talk to or buy from on this convershion so he wont stear you wrong.

The ? is now what are you doing for piping? The BOV kit's on that site are factory replacement hard pipes and you will probly be doing away with this. That means all custom piping BOV mounting BACV hook up and TID. Go from there and let us know what you are doing and we can help more on kits and so on. Like I said I have 275$ with shiping for my type RS and flanges and so on. Thats alot of dough for a BOV

IMHO the best sounding BOV is the greddy type s. I posted this link 1 or 2 years ago, but it still sounds great.. http://www.935motorsports.com/media/mark7m001.mp3

All the N/A people, dont start drinking the HaterAide because your car doesnt go SWOOSH..
YEah i'd just prefer my car be more of a sleeper. The quieter the BOV/WG the better with the exception of function, if it has to be loud to work right i'll deal with it.

Nothing like it! Like I posted it sounds like a large chamber dischargin air. A loud deep sound a wooshhh!!! with no stutter. But lower PSI blow off the more tinny it is.

Damn myexlex I was trying to figure out who you where. couldent put my finger on it. Welcome back ;-)

Ill post a sound clip tuesday.

Any turbo. It relives the presure built up in the intercooler pipes when the throttle plates are snaped shut "between shifts" Without one the presure forces back into the turbine and forces the turbo to stop spining thus destroying it.

Ahhh...I see now, I have this vid of an rx7 & some acura doing some SICK racing and drifting on some mountian side road at night. I kept on hearing a high pitch sound winding down very quickly when he was shifting.

I liked the way the Turbosmart Supersonic BOV sounded, GReddy Type S BOV was good to, the HKS Super Sequential BOV sound way high.
