Not, what BOV makes the loudest sound possible.

Remember, 90% buys a BOV because they want the *cool* sound, 10% buys it cause they think they need it.
you got it....

we have a bunch of noobie ricers....get used to it.

I have the HKS SSQV......not because it sounds loud tho....lol...... ricers...
Unlike other blow off valves that are push type, the SSQV will not leak under high boost conditions nor under vacuum at idle. Being of a pull type valve structure, the SSQV can not physically leak under any level of boost because boost pressure also keeps the valve closed against its seat. The SSQV is actuated by pressure alterations only, not by the rate of pressure or vacuum in the line, which ensures a quick valve response and complete closure during idle. On typical blow-off valve designs, a large valve is utilized in order to accommodate high boost / high horsepower applications. However, these large valves tend to react slowly and require high activation pressure to open, therefore are not able to activate and prevent compressor surge at light-load conditions. On the other hand, smaller, fast reacting valves do not discharge the airflow capacity required for high horsepower applications and tend to creep open and leak as the boost pressure overpowers the spring on these push type valves. For maximum performance, the HKS SSQV incorporates both a small primary valve for ultra quick activation, along with a larger secondary valve for additional discharge capacity. The SSQV is engineered to initially open the small primary valve at light throttle and load conditions, then sequentially opens the secondary valve for additional relief capacity under high boost and load conditions. The SSQV is constructed of polished billet aluminum, which ensures long-term durability and visual appeal. The mounting base utilizes a circular mounting flange that provides exception flow and complete secure mounting via a C-clip snap ring and O-ring gasket. The triple-fin discharge port design produces a powerful and unique aggressive blowoff sound along with added visual distinction.
how many actually KNOW what a BOV is USED FOR??? lol...........i hate ricers who get **** for their cars without knowing what it does........

oh WOW he must biiiiig turboh his car go PSHHHHHHHHHHHHH really really loud mang!

How is bov rice? The stock bov sucks *** and leaks at idle. Bov's have a very important purpose and at the same time gives you a distintive sound when letting go of the throttle. Most of the people that yell rice, are fukin hypocrites(sp)

Sorry for hijacking but while on the subject of itnakes Ive got a question too.. Id make my own thread but I cant with the prxy errors sorry!

Im jsut wondering what I should do with my air pump. Im installing a new cone air filter, so without the air box ive got no where to attatch the hose that connects to the air pump. Should I jsut let it suck in non filtered air? or what.

Thanks guys..

cmon fellas dont kill the thread this has nothin to do with rice, its the function, reliability and feedback on types and sounds of bov. i dont want the quiet just because i never had a turbo but i dont want to be hearing people telling me they heard me 1/2 mile away either.

The flange has to be welded to the pipe. You can take it to muffler shop and they wont charge more than $10.you dont need a kit just the flange.

http://www.blowoffvalves.com/

bunch of sounds there

Generally though the more noise (other than WHOOSH) a bov makes, is restriction.. the worst reason to buy a BOV is sound alone - It needs to flow the air, otherwise you are sacrificing turbo life for a cool sound

Wow..

This thread is SUPER...

Now, when I go and look at BOVs I DO happen to ask what they sound like, because I DONT want a squeaky sounding BOV.

Does that make me rice? Because I am interested in what my BOV may sound like?

I dont think so..
