what am i doing wrong here? (turbo drain line)

i can not for the life of me get this damn turbo drain line to fit on. its a BNR hybrid (stage 2 i believe) and the oil drain line will not fit over the wastegate bracket. i started grinding it down but even then there is still a gap between the turbo and the line. should i just keep grinding it down more? am i missing something? i havent ground down the compressor housing btw, just the bracket

(gap)

this is the only way that bracket will go on and operate the wastegate. its clocked all the way to the left as possible. if i turn it to the right the compressor housing hits the LIM, i wouldnt be able to put the charge pipe and ic on, and there is a gap at the turbo/manifold

loosen the bolts on the compressor housing and the hotside. mount the turbo on the manifold then try rotating the center section to a point where you can attach the flange flush. you maybe also have to clock the compressor housing as well so the wastegate actuator arm operates properly.

the flanges should be parallel to the ground. i'm guessing they didnt mark the housings when they put it all back together. hope all that makes sense unless i'm not understanding what you wrote

ill try it again. maybe ill try bolting the oil drain to the chra and then the hotside to the manifold first. i have spun the compressor housing all over but havent tried spinning the turbine housing.

okay...the turbine housing can only go on the manifold one way. the chra can only go in one way so that the oil drain is pointed straight down, and the feed straight up. the compressor housing can only go on one way so the stock charge pipe will fit in. the wastegate bracket can only go on one way that will make the rod clip to the flapper. i guess ill just have to grind the bracket way down, i thought there would be a direct way to make this all work.

is the wastegate arm supposed to be bent like that? could that be the problem?

s5 wg arms are offset like that unlike the s4s. something else doesnt seem right

Go custom, since the bnr has a bigger comp housing. Get a braided line, 5/8" ID min. Looks nice and no more grinding.
