ok so im just wondering what the hell this wire and connector are? do they attach to something?

Its a condensor that is connected to a ground. Common consensus is that it filters out noise to the oil pressure gauge. Its usually bolted to the slave cylinder

what does it do? Ive been driving without it being hooked up will that hurt anything?

its normally bolted to the driver side bolt that holds the clutch slave cylinder onto the bell housing. just stick it back on.

i guess my real question is will this help with my cars bogging problem at 3500rpm It does it in all gears and makes it drive like a cavalier

or perhaps it's bogging at 3800 rpm like these cars tend to do...
