my bad. its from a 1990 RX7 TII. its on the back side of the UIM. i believe some kind of emission solenoid but what one?

Looks like it might be part of the air control valve? Honestly, I feel dumb for not knowing this, but hopefully someone else can tell you something for sure.... lol

i dont think its part of the ACV. i removed emissions and it had its own block off plate. its on the upper intake manifold. its on the firewall side on the UIM, under the throttle cable bracket.

It's the air supply valve. It opens while the power steering pump is active and while hot starting.

Yeah, ASV. It performs some of the functions normally handled by the BAC on an NA. Idle without it is still plenty controllable. I don't have one on my car since there is no hookup with NA wiring.
