Wel It IS Blown heres the deal...
Did a compression test, Front bounced a steady 95psi.......good. The Rear bounced......wait nm it didn't, it stayed flat at 0. So heres what I need to do. I know of a fella who is selling a Streetported Atkins S4 block....good right. Put my S5 manifolds, ECU, Wiring harness, Turbo, it will work okay right?????? What kind of things can I do to my manifolds to clean them up and stuff. Should I go out and buy all new vacuum lines? In the mean when I am saving up the $ I am selling these items.
GReddy Type R BOV, stiff spring, $125, great cond.
N/A Differential, Viscous LSD with the famed 4:30sin it, this is my gold mine, how much will one pay. Along with that I am selling a N/A Driveshaft and Tranny. All of these have 120k on them(Besides the BOV). Or someone could just swap me a T2 drivetrain, from tranny to Rear-end for the n/a stuff. Let me know.

you'll want to swap front covers or your s5 will go limp mode due to the mechanical OMP (s4) vs the electric on the s5. Or you could just plug it in and dangle it i suppose too.

OMP = Oil Metering Pump. It injects a small amount of oil into the housing to lubricate the apex seals. That's why it needs a quart every 1000 miles or so. If it doesn't, that's why your engine is so weak on compression.

OMP = oil metering pump
on a S4 it has a mechanical one
on the s5 it has a electric one which is controlled by the ECU. if the ECU doesn't see that the OMP is there and operating properly it'll throw a Check engine light and go into limp mode.

Okay so here this will be my setup, give me a laundry list.
Reman S4 from Atkins.
Blown S5 from Jspec land
I take all my manifolds off of my s5 and my wiring harness bolt everything up to my s4 block, will it work right if i get the mechanical OMP, y'see you guys use too many Abrvs, i know what the oil metering pump is, but not what an OMP is, im still newI guess. Will my S5 ECU work on this S4 block? or do I have to get an S4 wiriing harness and S4 ECU.......WTF?!!! Bit off more than I could chew.....repeat 10 times while slowly decreasing the volume of your voice.....But I still love my 7 all the same.

they should be the same width. I think a big difference is that the spark plug holes are in slightly different locations.
The housings should be the same though, they're all 13b, 80mm wide rotors.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
I can trade a turbo trans, clutch parts, driveshaft, and starter for the rearend. Let me know if you're interested.
Also, you can bolt all your s5 stuff onto the s4 block and be ok. The s4 block is actually a bit safer for modifying. Be sure to use an s4 flywheel from a turbo, which I can also give you in the above trade. You must swap front covers and keep the one from your s5 (the s5 OMP, which you must keep, wont work on the s4 front cover).

T2 Starter???? Wouldn't I already have the T2 starter???? m pretty sure I already have a T2 starter, So If I go for S4 flywheel, I'll then need s4 clutch, tranny, driveshaft and rear-end. Wil I then have a 4 lug conversion, I am very confused.....Would the S5 ECU work?? Same with wiring harness. That deal your offering hypntyz7 is sounds good, what cond are they in?

okay...so if I have the S5 knock sensor, how will that affect placement on my S4 block, I need to find a write up about going S4 block with S5 manifolds, electricals, turbos, ect...........I've only maniged to remove the intake up to the TB, after this I get scared b/c I don't know what I am doing from there.

They use the same knock sensor, it just screws into a different spot on the s5 and s4 blocks. IT doesnt matter which you use though, either will work. That is the least of your concerns.
FYI, I just did a writeup on this, but it wont be posted to the webpage for a few days I suppose.

Sorry Hypntz7 but I heard from a reliable source that S4 tranny's aren't as smooth as the S5's so I think I will decline your offer, however I am interested in the S4 flywheel you have and the driveshaft. I will post the 4.30 on the board when I sell it, after I get the engine though. I understand this process better now, thanks guys.

Okay, I understand you fully, I'll be honest with you. I change my mind all of the time. Being 16 and nieve I guess its just the way I am. I don't want to make and decisions at this time, so if you can sell that S4 drivetrain, then sell it. But if you still have it by the time I need it, I'll deal with you first, because you asked first. So if you want this rear-end I'll hit you up first when I'm ready to swap, you have my word.
