i've got a weird problem... everytime i hit about 3000rpm till just under 4000 the rear of my car makes this strange vibration, almost like the hatch is vibrating against something... I drove with the hatch open, i drove with a frind in back to press on oall the plastic pieces to see if it would stop but no luck. It doesn't vibrate at a stand still or in neutral while moving, but through every gear at the exact same rpm it sounds like a bumble bee or a riced civic is in the back of my car...

i was thinking it has something to do with the exchaust... but bacuse it only happens in gear maybe its the rear axle trasmitting vibration into the body???

anyone have any thoughts?? i'm stumped

is it a fairly faint sound, like a light little rattle and only occasionaly???
mine sounds like a fastener over the spare tire area is loose or something. but only does it sometimes and only for short bursts and really faint

it happens EVERY time i am from 3000 to bout 3800 rpm and on the gas.... but not when i'm in nuetral... at's why i think it has something to do with axel vibrating the rear of the car... but it sounds like the vibration is in the car.. weird sound

I had the same problem. I fixed it by moving the spare tyre and toolkit. Also the jack stuff was raterling. This happened at over 3000rpm becasue of the noise through the exhaust made them vibrate. So yeah have a try,

I have the same problem, mine is one of the latches for the hatch is loose and everytime I tighten it it loosens it self again. And one side of my hatch doesnt latch close.
