HELP!!! Electrical Issues...
Well, I finally finished up my rebuild and got everything back together. I have not been able to try starting it yet due to an electrical short somewhere. I put the battery on, and was about to throw in some MMO for some extra compression. About 10 seconds later my friend sees smoke coming from the harness and I'm like **** so I immediately disconnect the battery.
Turns out that the ground wire going to the boost sensor got fried. I unwrapped the harness and its toast, but its the only wire with any damage. Tried messing with some grounds and stuff and put the neg. bat. cable back on but it sparked so my grandpa said there is still a short somewhere. Oh yeah, I unplugged the ecu b4 testing but I'm hoping it didn't get fried from the initial short. I've checked it with all the fuses and checked all grounds and I just can't think of what could cause it.
My engine previously had a fire caused by the blasted pos PD so some of the wires were pretty crispy. But the wires that were affected and exposed were going to the bac and acv which I don't have anymore. I unwrapped all around that area and found no problems with the wiring. I just can't figure out what is going on. ANY advice or information would be GREATLY appreciated. I just want to get this thing running again...

1. Pull all three plugs off the ECU.
2. Disconnect the alternator.
3. Go to the online fsm and the Fuel Section. Find the pages that look similar to this: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...&postid=532728

Now those above are for a N/T car. 1987 The Turbo is similar but there are about four wires that are different. So go to the fsm online and print the turbo ones.
5. Then turn the key to ON and examine each wire for a output similar to the one on the page/pages.
6. Make sure that the ground wire is going to the long bolt that holds the starter on. The positive wire should be going to the large terminal on the starter.

Thanks guys, finally found the problem and I feel really, no REALLY stupid.... It was the first time installing the starter and I didn't remember exactly how it went so I ended up hooking it up wrong and blowing out the selenoid. So somehow it was grounding there.
