Arrow Weird Problem with 90 TII!!

OK well i jst recently bought a 90 TII which is my first s5 TII. Im very familiar with s4s but not s5s. Anyway when you crank it up now it fires right up then after about 3 sec or so the check engine light comes on and it dies...You can do this however many times you want does the same every time...What could this be?? how do i pull codes on it??

could be the OMP putting the ecu into limp mode. i don't know if that would cause the check engine light to come on or not

Code checking on a S5: http://www.fc3spro.com/TECH/HOWTO/ER...KI/kerror.html

The 3 seconds then dying sounds like it should be the AFM. The engine won't run with the AFM unplugged (circuit opening relay), so it could be that the AFM is dead and the relay is never working when you do have it plugged in. This means the fuel pump is shut off as soon as you turn the key back to "ON".

I'm assuming that fuel is supplied during cranking regardless of whether the circuit opening relay is energized or not. Otherwise, it shouldn't start at all with the AFM unplugged. Anyone know that this is true for sure? Hailers ought to know...

The FSM has resistance values to test the AFM, but you should also get a code for it if you build a little LED code checker.
